Born in May of 1956 in Suburban Western Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Todd grew up with great food and cultural influences on both sides of his family.  His mother's side includes traces of German and Irish dating to the Revolutionary War. His father has Serbian roots and immigrated to the U.S. through Ellis Island New York, settling in Western Pennsylvania.
